We need a Treasury Analyst to join our London team, focusing on treasury management, reporting, risk management, and ad hoc projects.
Accountabilities:
- Culture & Team
- Assist with the integration of new employees into the team.
- Work with the Head of Treasury and Tax and Assistant Treasurer to achieve overall Treasury objectives.
- Always Ensure full compliance with the Treasury Policy.
- Proactively suggest ideas to drive continuous improvement.
2. Delivery of Services
- Ensure that daily Treasury activities and payments are completed in an efficient and controlled manner to facilitate the short-term funding and investment activities.
- Reconcile and report on the Group’s daily cash position across all companies in the group, recommending actions to maintain liquidity at efficient levels.
- Undertake all dealing for surplus cash balances and money market deposits.
- Manage all intra-group cash movements.
- Proactively monitor and manage the exposure the organisation has to the credit risk of its counterparts in delivering Treasury services to the group.
- Facilitate relevant payments and payment approvals for all treasury transactions.
- Maintain the group loan, investment, foreign exchange, commodity, and derivative portfolios.
- Coordinate loans and derivatives in accordance with agreements and in compliance with internal policies.
- Maintain a register of all financial guarantees provided by or to the Group.
- Maintain the Group’s online banking systems (NatWest Bankline and Barclays.Net).
- Manage the opening and closing of bank accounts, coordinate updates to the bank mandates and authorised signatory lists.
- Engage with PBS and the wider business to acquire accurate cash forecasts and develop forecast variance reporting to facilitate improvement.
- Review information provided by PBS for accuracy and relevance.
- Develop and maintain strong connections with external collaborators (mainly banks and other dealing counterparties).
- Actively participate in other business initiatives requiring outstanding or innovative solutions from Treasury.
- Ensure adequate controls around execution, confirmation, and settlement are in place.
- Ensure banking costs are managed to a suitable level.
3. Financial Compliance
- Provide all KYC requests from financial counterparties.
- Provide all supporting information to facilitate monthly accounting and statutory reporting.
- Provide all lender information to support tax returns and reporting.
- Support all regulatory reporting.
Essential
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree level qualification.
- 1-2 years’ experience of working in a Treasury team.
Skills
- Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to forge strong working relationships with a diverse set of colleagues.
- Analytical with a rigorous attention to detail.
- Planning and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to deliver to deadlines under pressure.
- Highly IT literate.

- Some experience of treasury operations or a banking role.
