We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior EG&S Project Manager to lead the delivery and development of onshore wind and related energy projects across ABP’s UK-wide port network.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of ABP’s onshore wind projects from inception through planning and construction to operational handover.

• Develop robust investment cases and present them to internal stakeholders and senior leadership.

• Manage cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Commercial, Property, and Finance teams.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with equipment vendors and key players in the power generation sector.

• Represent ABP externally as a knowledgeable and trusted ambassador in the renewable energy sector.

 

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience managing full lifecycle delivery of onshore wind projects.

• Strong understanding of the UK electricity market and onshore wind technologies.

• Skilled in using and explaining energy asset/project valuation models in Excel.

• Familiarity with UK grid connection processes and DNO requirements.

• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong influencing and negotiation capabilities.

 

Desirable Attributes

• Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering renewable projects beyond wind.

• Knowledge of electricity supply cost structures and the impact of on-site generation.

• Confident presenter with the ability to influence senior leadership.

• Organised, driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

• Strong academic background, ideally in a numerate discipline.
