Our Group Projects team manage projects valued at £20m and above with the aim of to ensuring optimal development of major capital projects in ABP. We're currently looking to recruit a Project Development Manager to join the team and focus on a major projects primarily within the Southampton region. You'll need to have experience of managing major infrastructure projects valued at a minimum of £100m and have a solid understanding of consenting/DCO works. You should have early stage project experience and be comfortable working at pace with multi-discipline teams. 

 

Responsibilities:
-    Lead the project development utilising Regional and Group experts
-    Integrating financial model, scope documentation, schedule and risks
-    Explore relevant options meeting the customer’s needs
-    Conduct proactive cross-functional stakeholder engagement and communication (including core team meetings)
-    Drive scope definition and clarify customer and operational requirements
-    Ensure our scope integrates across commercial, asset and operations work streams resulting in a clear financial model
-    Establish early delivery plans meeting favourable options
-    Drive consenting/planning process where needed in a timely manner
-    Proactively identify and address risk and opportunities

 

Experience and requirements:
-    Experience with development of Capital Infrastructure Projects above GBP 100 mill
-    Strong track record of project development – motivated by delivering enhanced project value
-    Hands on approach with a key focus on critical deliverables
-    Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to understand all functional drivers and effectively communicate with Executive level stakeholders
-    Proactive and high energy personality
-    Assertive of nature – able to challenge internal stakeholders
-    Ability to operate in a ‘lean’ client model understanding the practical way forward to reach results
-    Experience with projects in a port environment and/or supply chain related industrial environment
