Are you a seasoned Physical Security Operations Technology Systems Engineer with experience in large, multi-site organisations?
We’re looking for a strategic and technically skilled engineer to lead our enterprise CCTV, Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS), and Operational Technology (OT) systems. This is a key role in shaping and securing our operational technology estate with industry leading, resilient and innovative solutions aligned to our business and security goals.

You’ll be responsible for system performance, integrity, reporting, vulnerability management, and incident response of our critical security systems. A key part of the role is evolving our OT security strategy to stay ahead of emerging threats and complex business needs. The role can be flexible on remote working, with base being located at one of our major Port’s (Hull, Southampton, Cardiff), with some remote working flexibility. Regular travel across our 21 Ports is required to support incident and project initiatives.
Scope Of Role
• Daily point of contact for CCTV, EACS and OT security system operations, ensuring 24/7 system operation and daily incident resolution
• Perform daily health checks / fixes and dashboard reporting on system performance and incident impact
• Act as systems engineer specialist for CCTV EACS and OT project delivery from design to commissioning and sign-off
• Audit EACS and CCTV systems, presenting findings and actionable recommendations
• Ensure all CCTV, EACS and OT systems run the latest firmware, software and configuration with detailed reporting of gaps
• Optimise delivery and production standards for system usability, responsiveness and security improvements
• Define and manage KPIs and SLAs for all system performance and related hardware
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all CCTV, EACS and OT security platforms and actionable recommendations
Experience & Skills
• Proven engineer experience managing enterprise CCTV, EACS, and OT systems across a large multi-site estate
• Expertise in CCTV, EACS and OT system architecture (on prem and cloud), asset/configuration management, disaster recovery, and security standards
• Strong understanding of IT networking for CCTV/EACS/OT deployment via wired and wireless P2P
• Deep knowledge and experience of JML, access levels, AD integration, and EACS system configuration/alarm best practices
• Skilled in API & SQL reporting from backend databases to reporting EACS anomalies
• Excellent communication with stakeholder and security vendor management skills
• Experience with Avigilon, Pelco, Mercury (or similar), HID reader and card encryption technologies
• Advanced experienced of SQL reporting for internal and external investigations on CCTV and EACS systems
• Knowledge of modern structured cabling, Cisco and Ubiquiti P2P technology standards
• Awareness of sustainability practices in OT operations
