The Role:

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Business Development Manager - Offshore Wind to join our Commercial team. Reporting to the Group Head of Offshore Wind, you will play a critical role in identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving the growth of ABP's offshore wind portfolio. Additionally, you will support the Group Head of Offshore Wind with strategic planning, operational coordination, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the OSW sector.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of business opportunities and potential partners.
  • Lead the evaluation of new business prospects and feasibility studies for OSW projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, government agencies, and technology providers.
  • Negotiate and structure strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and collaborations to support business growth.
  • Represent ABP at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to promote our capabilities and forge new connections
  • Inform government engagement around OSW.
  • Develop detailed business cases, including financial modeling, risk assessment, and investment analysis, to support new initiatives.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and management of OSW projects from concept to completion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while meeting all regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration in the OSW sector.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), sales metrics, and market feedback to inform strategic decisions.
  • Assist the Group Head of Offshore Wind with strategic planning, including the development and implementation of the OSW strategy.
  • Provide operational support, including meeting preparation, agenda setting, and follow-up actions.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and board papers for senior management and the board of directors.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination about OSW topics across the Commercial team and other departments.

  • Proficiency in project management with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in preparing reports, presentations, and strategic documents.
  • Proven commercial acumen with the ability to identify and capitalise on business opportunities in the energy and OSW sector.
  • Motivated and results-oriented with a passion for sustainability and innovation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
