We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Terminal Controller to coordinate all landside and vessel-related activities.

 

As the Terminal Controller, you will manage inbound and outbound cargo movements, oversee terminal stocks, maintain ship files, and serve as the primary contact for our valued customers.

 

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Stock Management: Maintain system and report daily figures.
  • Customer Complaints: Log, coordinate, and monitor issues.
  • Finance Reporting: Collate month-end operational data.
  • Vessel Scheduling: Manage terminal schedules and outturns.
  • Bagging Plans: Compile daily/weekly plans.
  • Customer Liaison: First contact for complaints, stock queries, and bookings.
  • Loss & Damage: Track and resolve stock discrepancies with customers.
  • Collections: Oversee planning, loading, and weighbridge coordination.
  • Customs Compliance: Ensure stock control meets customs requirements.
  • Data & KPIs: Record terminal stats and input KPIs.
  • Weighbridge: Understand weighbridge processes.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Port operations experience and TOS knowledge.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
  • Team player with ability to work independently.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Flexible with shifts and outdoor tasks.

 

Office Hours: Typically, from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
