Are you a procurement generalist with experience of developing procurement strategies both at regional and group level?
Due to an internal promotion we're currently looking to recruit an experienced Procurement Associate to join our team in the Humber region. Based from either the Hull or Immingham office, but with occasional travel, you will ideally be CIPS qualified or in process of working towards. Coming from a generalist background, you'll be responsible for working with senior internal stakeholders. You should have a strong knowledge of both procurement and purchasing process knowledge. Some experience of contract management is helpful.

Accountabilities
- Design and implement strategic sourcing projects aligned to category strategies to put in place best value Group and regional contracts. This includes working with stakeholders to define ABP’s requirements, planning the event, market engagement, tender, evaluation, contract award, handover to contract owner, input into contract management, closeout, exit and termination, understanding opportunities for improvement ready for the next tender. (The spend coverage range will be based on opportunities review of the pipeline).
- Ensure all procurement events and projects comply with the ABP Procurement Policy.
- Effectively implement a defined and agreed work plan management process.
- Provide support to high value, high risk or complex procurement events. Responsibilities will vary on a project by project basis, however they will focus on procurement activities from initial brief to contract award will vary on a project by project basis
- Develop and maintain the procurement teamwork plan management process and produce and issue the monthly procurement report including performance measures.
- Maintain team members adherence to process documentation and contract validation procedure and uploading of executed contracts to the inTend portal.
- Support Regional and Category Procurement Specialists manage service and goods supply contracts. Including attending monthly and quarterly management meetings, reviewing KPIs and other service quality measures.
- Develop knowledge practical experience of shaping procurement to deliver high levels of sustainability and social value.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance covered by category strategies.
- Develop and implement the contract management process to realise maximum benefit from the procurement activity with reviews of business usage and contract compliance, and provide insight through the analysis of spend, contract metrics, supply markets and savings
Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of delivering procurement projects including business engagement, procurement strategy, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, contract performance management and supplier relationship management, across a range of spend categories.
- Highly commercial, analytical and innovative in their thinking.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and relational abilities.
- Working towards relevant professional qualification and professional body membership ideally CIPS or RICS.
- Strong drive for continuous improvement, self-starter who can work independently – never satisfied with the status quo.
- Excellent IT skills in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
