Are you seeking an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at one of the UK's busiest ports? ABP Immingham is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Port Operator—Industrial Cleaner to help maintain our high cleanliness and safety standards.
Accountabilities
- Ensure that conveyor belts and related machinery remain free from debris and contaminants to maintain smooth operation.
- Making sure we comply with industry standards and DSEAR regulations.
- Ensuring high cleaning standards around the ABP rail infrastructure.
- Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protective equipment (RPE), such as powered respirators, daily.
- Following SSOW and risk assessment.
- Ensuring pre-use check are completed as
Skills & Experience
- Experience in industrial or commercial cleaning is highly desirable.
- A dedicated team player with a positive attitude.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, especially in an industrial setting, as this job involves working near a live conveyor system.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive cleaning and maintenance tasks, ensuring high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to manage physically demanding tasks, including working at heights and in diverse weather conditions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting deficiencies or repair needs.
- A driver's license is essential for this role, which requires operating a tractor. Training for mobile equipment will be provided.
- Exceptional punctuality and attendance record.
Shift Pattern
- 2 days, 3 nights, then 4 off
- 3 days, 2 nights, then 5 off
- 2 days, 2 nights, then 5 off
