We've recently restructured our senior engineering management team across the Humber to facilitate continuous improvement works across the region. Within this are two key roles we're looking to recruit an experienced Engineering Manager for; South Bank Maintenance Manager covering Immingham and Grimsby and HIT Maintenance Manager, covering the Humber International Terminal in Immingham. These are necessary in order to support the businesses growth plans and our missions of Keeping Britain Trading and Enabling the Energy Transition. These changes will position the E&AM function to provide an optimum service to our internal and external customers and will ensure we manage the businesses interests in both the short and long terms.
As a member of the Engineering Leadership team responsible for developing and delivering the overall business strategy, you will set the vision for the site, determining any KPI’s and objectives for the team. You'll be responsible for the short term maintenance execution and to contribute to the identification of CAPEX projects and services for strategic development, whilst strengthening relationships with contracting companies and internal customers.

Accountabilities
• Accountable for and ensure adherence to safety standards across the maintenance department.
• Drive team performance and efficiency in executing the scheduled work (planned and reactive maintenance).
• Hold supervisors accountable for team performance and efficiency, driving continuous improvement.
• Drive accountability for equipment care within maintenance teams. Working with other departments to ensure equipment is suitable for use.
• Ensure the maintenance plan is scheduled and executed, including planned and reactive tasks.
• Drive improvements to the Planned vs Reactive work ratio. Lead efforts to improve engineering productivity and minimise downtime across the asset base.
• Ownership of port assets and establish asset performance such as monitoring and Key Performance Indicators.
• Ensure detailed data sharing with planning team including CMMS data and Work actions being completed correctly and in full.
• Ensure asset information is shared with the asset management team to improve long term asset plans.
• Control maintenance costs and ensure work is delivered according to the defined budget, contributing to strategic asset plans. Ensuring the HoE&AM is informed.
• Contribute to CAPEX planning for equipment replacement and refurbishments, considering impacts on business requirements.
• Ensure the necessary skills for maintenance are available through training and hiring.
• Ensure accurate data recording for maintenance activities to support performance monitoring.
• Provide input into asset strategies to align with local needs in collaboration with the Asset Management Team.
• Escalate issues with plan adherence when necessary, sharing fact-based feedback to inform capacity planning.
• Oversee health and safety compliance across the maintenance team in collaboration with HSE.
Skills & Experience
• Chartered Engineer or working towards
• Qualified to HDC/HND or higher in relevant Engineering discipline. (Ideally Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Discipline.)
• Extensive experience in maintenance management with a minimum of 10 years in a management / leadership role
• Proven experience in maintenance management and team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling and execution.
• Excellent leadership and strong team management skills.
• Great communications skills and teamworking ability
