The Port of Hull is the UK’s leading softwood timber port and the focus of the offshore wind sector on the Humber, the UK’s energy estuary. The multi-million-pound investment in the Hull Container Terminal (HCT) has cemented Hull’s position as a leading gateway for trade, offering reliable and resilient supply chain solutions from around the world. Due to an internal promotion we're currently looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Technician to join the maintenance team in Hull.

Accountabilities
-  Carryout maintenance works in a diligent and timely manner in order to meet the requirements of port operations both individually and as part of a larger team. All in accordance with ABP’s risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work.

-  Attend breakdowns / emergency situations during both normal hours and out of hours in order to carry out all necessary repairs.

-  Assist the Engineering leads to identify future maintenance requirements / repairs required.

-  Carryout maintenance works in conjunction with third party contractors as required. 

-  Extract work orders from the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), undertake the required tasks extracted and input any associated work history. 

-  Communicate with both the marine, operations departments and external customers during servicing operations and the repair of plant and equipment.

-  Organise plant, labour and materials as required to undertake maintenance activities on an hour by hour basis.

-  Undertake / review risk assessments and SSOW as required in order to progress maintenance works inclusive of dynamic risk assessments. 

-  Undertake training as required in order to enable maintenance activities to be carried out as required.


Skills & Experience
-  Engineering qualification (ONC/HNC or equivalent) in electrical bias

-  18th Edition

-  Maintenance experience

-  Strong fault finding abilities

-  Safety awareness

-  Computer skills

-  CMMS experience

-  Full Driving Licence required

-  First Aid at Work qualification ideally
