Our 21 ports are Keeping Britain Trading
Our 21 ports are strategically placed around the UK, offering a strong hold for trade, growth, communities and future opportunity.
They include Immingham, the UK’s largest port by tonnage, and Southampton, the UK’s number one port for cars and cruises and the nation’s second largest container port.
ABP South Wales’ five ports support 15,000 jobs across Wales and contribute £1.4bn to the UK economy. ABP’s Short Sea Ports has eleven ports located in East Anglia, the South West, North West and Scotland, handling over 4 million tonnes of cargo every year. The region handles a broad range of cargoes and offer hubs for renewable energy developments and port centric manufacturing.
Boasting Swansea and Cardiff, two thriving university cities, the South Wales region offers great nightlife, busy restaurants, and a rich cultural history, as well as a buzzing business community. In sharp contrast to hectic city life, you can find your peace among the breathtaking countryside and wild and rugged coastline of The Gower, with its award-winning beaches, including the stunning three-mile stretch of the idyllic Rhossili Bay. The area is rich in history, with more castles per square mile than any other country in the world.
