The Role:  Commercial Analyst

 

PLEASE NOTE: THIS ROLE IS PART TIME (3 x DAYS PER WEEK), MATERNITY COVER (12 MTH FTC)

 

Purpose:

Provide support to the commercial team with monthly reporting, analysis of opportunity and to be the first point of contact for speculative enquiries. 

 

Accountabilities:

  • Respond to customer enquiries via ‘Humber Commercial Inbox’ and provide quotations and proposals, ensuring timely follow up
  • Assist the collation of information and preparation of monthly report(s)
  • Assist with the co-ordination and completion of customer rate and port tariff reviews for the Humber
  • Provide business analysis information to inform Humber leadership team (KPIs/ Performance)
  • Assist with commercial/billing enquiries
  • Ensure the CRM system is used correctly and efficiently by the commercial team, particularly with updating opportunities and prospects
  • Work with the Group Commercial team(s) to ensure maintenance and provision of key metrics

 

 

About you:

You will be highly motivated, with a positive attitude.  The real key to success though will be your excellent communications skills – you’ll liaise with colleagues, clients and senior managers to summarise potential opportunities for growth including potential strategic options for ABP. 

 

 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

 Essential

  • Previous administrative and analytic experience.
  • Highly confident and competent with IT systems.
  • Able to work well in a pressurised environment.
  • Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative

 

Ideal / Desirable:

  • Previous experience of working in a commercial environment
