Job Title: Retail Warehouse Operative

Region: Humber

Reporting to: Retail Operations Supervisor



ABP are looking for committed and reliable individuals to join us as part of our exciting new retail division. You will be a proactive and safety conscious individual, working 8 hour shifts to de-van containers from our Container Terminal and repack on pallets in our warehouse; ready for reloading/goods out.


This is a great opportunity to develop your career within ABP.  As an ABP employee you will receive hands-on training to develop your skills and knowledge in operations and health & safety.  There may be opportunity for further development and training on relevant plant and warehousing equipment.


Essential Requirements

  • Proactive attitude to health and safety and a willingness to contribute to Safe Systems of Work
  • Experience of working in a busy and fast paced warehousing environment with the ability to work towards set targets
  • Have worked preferably within a partially automated warehouse environment with a knowledge of handheld scanners etc
  • Good communication skills
  • Good standard of health, due to the physical nature of the work


Desirable Requirements

  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Full UK driving (car ) license with own transport
  • Experience operating similar plant and equipment from a warehousing environment (Man-rider, dock leveller, or an automatic boom dock
  • Knowledge and experience of contributing to Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
