The Role:  Change Manager



To drive and manage the people side of business change activities required for continuous improvement initiatives and pursue improvement opportunities with greater flexibility and speed.


Focus on aligning and simplifying business processes with IT systems to increase customer satisfaction and business value which will drive significant and ongoing change in all parts of the business. The role is delivery focused and will lead business change in both agile and project environments.



  • Supporting Business Process Owners with integrated change planning - consolidate organisational and functional impact assessments, aiming to holistically plan and sequence change implementations optimally & sympathetically;
  • Apply behavioural tools to assess the impact of change on organisations, using assessments of organizational culture, performance, and readiness for change
  • Track and lead ‘Business Readiness’ preparation including communication and training, managing transition, dependencies and full delivery of change lifecycle activities to meet the implementation objectives
  • Providing meaningful reports as well as timely updates to the Business Process Owner and Centre of Excellence teams as well as key stakeholders to maintain sufficient visibility of progress
  • Managing risks & issues effectively with clear identification of ‘Path to green’, and adopting a proactive approach to work collaboratively with stakeholders to reach resolution and escalate as appropriate
  • Responsible for the continuous development of thought leadership materials to better the business user environments around the importance of managing change throughout the project lifecycle
  • Driving the continued evolution of our Super User network and organisation-wide people engagement to enhance change culture development and avoid change fatigue
  • Skilfully conducting senior stakeholder relationship management across the organisation
  • Collaborating with and providing constructive challenges to the Centre of Excellence teams
  • Managing the linkages with Performance & Controls and continuing to strengthen Change governance & RAID management
  • Collating & evaluating feedback as to the success of change management, capturing lessons learnt
  • Coaching & mentoring team members to support talent development
  • Supporting the Operational Excellence Lead to enhance and execute change strategies, taking effective ownership of making change happen and seeking opportunities to innovate



About you:

You will be an advocate for change, influencing Port Business Services (PBS) team members, management and senior stakeholders across end to end business processes.    You will be a real team player, eager to get stuck in to this exciting and fast-paced industry and work hard. The key to success is communication, it is essential that you can use your initiative and be proactive.    


Skills, Experience & Qualifications


  • Minimum Green belt Lean Six Sigma
  • Change Delivery, Programme & Project Management process, tools & techniques
  • Management of Transformation & Change initiatives and associated resource planning
  • An innovative & collaborative mindset to shape and translate recommendations into implementable plans
  • Ability to plan & facilitate workshops both on-site & remotely, including the production of associated documentation
  • Proven stakeholder management skills to influence decision-making & reach consensus
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to assess impact and prioritise optimally



  • Agile, Lean Six Sigma and Project Methodologies
  • Good understanding of SAP functionality
  • Change management
